Comments: I was considering getting an operation that I initially thought was better than the one recommended by my local surgeon. This is an operation on my thumb to wrist joint. Dr. Peers said he would not perform the operation I thought was better simply because the outcome was worse than the one initially planned by my local surgeon. It takes a good moral compass to say no when it would cost one additional income. I was initially bummed but came to realize that he said just what I needed to hear, because he felt that was the right thing to do.
