At Reconstructive Hand to Shoulder of Indiana, we provide a full range of occupational therapy specializing in upper extremity rehabilitation. The upper extremity is a very complex part of the body which requires a thorough knowledge of anatomy and specific intervention techniques. Services here are provided by registered occupational therapists, some of whom are certified hand therapists. Therapeutic interventions include conservative management for those who are not indicated for surgery, but suffer pain, decreased mobility or strength.

We also provide rehabilitation for those patients in need of postoperative care who may have suffered from an accident, injury, cumulative trauma or arthritic conditions. These services include splinting, exercising, strengthening, wound management, a wide variety of therapeutic modalities, as well as ergonomic and joint protection principles. These rehabilitation services are all provided in an effort to return the patient back to their daily functional activities.
